Since 1998 we have worked with hundreds of clients, and this has taught us that life is too short for pointless meetings, business jargon, and working with people you don’t like. With that in mind, we only take on projects where we feel we can create something amazing, and will win online.
Jeannie worked for one of the first web design agencies in the US as an intern while at university, and after graduation got a job working for IT consulting agencies (and hated every minute of it). In 1998 she had enough of corporate America, and opened Rare Form from her home in Michigan and started making websites.
On December 26, 2001 Jeannie moved to England, wait for it, because she had a dream (she was reading a lot of Nick Hornby at the time). She bounced around the country for a year making websites for Oracle, PeopleSoft, photographers, and small businesses. But just as she was ready to go back to Michigan, she met Joss, a programmer (and actual genius). They hit it off, decided to combine forces and reopen Rare Form in Oxford.
Since 1998 we have curated a small but mighty team, and have kept it that way on purpose. Yes, we could have expanded, but we are creatives first, and money isn’t our driving factor. We have always wanted to produce beautiful, bleeding edge products that don’t just work, they win. When our clients win, we win (and we reallyyyyy love to win). If you would like us to be a part of your story, let’s have a chat, we’d love to work with you (but only if you’re awesome).
